PhotoHunt March 28 - 2009 - Hand

The Hand is probably the Homo Sapiens most important tool beside the species Brain. The Hand does also express a lot of a persons mental state. And activities.
(It's more important for me that you click on each photo to enlarge them as deserved, than commenting)
Here are some HAND examples:
Young and old uses hands to give comfort and trust (Norwegian and Indian)
Hands during a Wedding ceremony - in Punjab, India
Monkeys steal bananas from Homo Sapiens and use their Hands to open and eat.
Henna painting is important descorations for celebrations
Without a Computer or Cellphone, handwriting is still an important means of communication
String instruments are dependant of a feeling

A good cup of Coffee - tastes good and warms your hands
Opening and serving Champagne needs a steady hand (or two)
Playing Air Guitar - no Guitar but Hands
Happy Dancing - Hands up in joy
Ordering at at restaurant - the waiter is explaing - in another Language - hmmm
Grandpa and Grandson - working together

What a superb take on this week's theme Tor... hands were made for air guitar!
I see we had similar thoughts in one frame at least! Henna painting is amazing.
Yeah, that Henna is really something. Handwriting! Great idea.
Letter writing... what a concept! I remember in high school I had a friend who lived several hours away and we wrote almost every day for two years. It was so much fun getting that letter each day...sometimes two. Now, no one writes letters any more. Great hand pictures. Thanks for stopping by.
It was a great theme but I was too tired after the kids' carnival and I didn't participe this time still. Love all your photos and the first one particulary with the indian. Plus I am in a music mode so I choose those with references to instuments and dances... and of course the bottle of champagne!

very nice take on the theme. i love a good handwriting. nothing can beat that. :)
almost 3 years ago i lost the use of my left hand and the surgeon would not guarantee i would ever use it properly again. i worked very hard to regain use and had many people praying for my recovery as well. i am thankful every single day i can use my hand again.
If we didn't have our hands, Tor, how could we talk???

Second comes the one coffee drinking above. (Looks like I like drinking ;-) Perfectly cut above the glasses creating the right lines.
