Is it smoked cheese? It's too yellow to be Havarti. Or maybe sticks of lovely yellow butter?

I must admit,
I did this "trick" by purpose. Why?

Well back in the 1980'es we went up the upper Ardeche River Valley (France) to find the Source of River Loire (the longest river in France).
We stopped for Lunch at a very old Farm. Ordered 3 Baguettes with Butter and Cheese and Ham. And one without Butter. Ingelin at that did not like Butter. The old Man, the Owner than startet to laugh, only two teeths he did have, and said:
Cheese and Butter, hahhhhhaaa, that's the same thing, don't you know - you must live in a City.

Well:
This is BUTTER. Chopped like Cheese.
Surprised?
That was the meaning. Don't take for first thoughts for granted and the very truth.
hugs
