Worldless Wednesday April 9 - 2008

April 9 is a very special Day in Norway. That was the Day in 1940 the Nazies invaded Norway.
I was born some weeks before the end of this tragic chapter of European History (April 10 - 45).

After the WW II, Norway was a very poor Country. We (My parents) could not afford to go any longer but in our Garden for a Camping Weekend. This old photo (scanned) is a proof of that fact. But we were lucky. As you can see and imagine

We need stories like these to better understand how that war affected people. I admire your family's spirit. What heart! Thanks for the photo and the post. God bless.

I love to hear the history. I think often the young don't want to know it. And yet it is important to know, so we can avoid a repeat. Happy Wednesday!

I was born after WWII. It was all peaceful and life was very good. I have never experience war.

My family was very poor, we lived in a government-subsidised apartment which was only 500 sq ft. We didn't have a garden to camp in. :(
