When I was a kid my parents could not afford a washer, but my Aunt lived next door and she had one.
Hers was a ringer like the one on the left.
When I was about 6 my aunt crushed her hand in the ringer.

My mom had a wringer washer too! I watched it closely when she washed my blankie! Happy Valentine's Day!

@Mother of Invention: These old machines were fascinating in the way we could follow more of the prosess, than todays closed machines. Worth a song?

btw. The citizens there had no clue at all what Eaux Clair means; they were convinced it's a native name.
